Martinsville, VA (Sports Network) - Mike Bliss will replace Terry Cook in the No.25 Toyota for Friday's Camping World Truck Series race at Phoenix International Raceway, HT Motorsports officials announced Tuesday.
HT Motorsports and Cook parted ways following last weekend's race at Texas Motor Speedway. Cook started in 23 truck events for the team this season. He is currently 12th in points, with four top-five finishes and nine top-10's for the year.
"We want to thank Terry for his hard work and efforts for this HT Motorsports Racing Team this year," team owner Jim Harris said in a statement. "We have worked with Terry on and off for a few years in the Camping World Truck Series, and see him as a key component in building HT Motorsports to what it is today. He is a huge advocate for the series, and we wish him the best in his racing career."
Cook has recorded six victories in 313 career truck starts. His most recent win came in July 2006 at Kansas. Cook will drive the No.91 Chevrolet for MSRP Motorsports in the final two Nationwide Series races this season -- Phoenix and Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Bliss, the 2002 Truck Series champion, has 13 victories in 201 career starts. Phoenix has been one of his better tracks, as he has led a total of 219 laps and posted one win and two poles at the one-mile track.
"Phoenix always proves to put on a good show in the Truck Series," Bliss said. "I have a lot of fun racing in Phoenix, so I am looking forward to racing there for HT Motorsports."
The team has yet to announce who will drive the No.25 truck in the November 20 season-finale at Homestead.
